Hi Peter, hope all's well. These last two are particularly stunning with the more intense and direct light source. I took my wc's to life drawing and tried painting with colour for the first time in yonks. A pretty dismal innaugeration it was. Maybe need longer poses. Trying to work on drawing, lighting and colour all at once really slowed down the process and I ran out of time. Again, these are just super, and I would have been happy if mine was just a fraction as good! After having a crack it I have all the more respect for these paintings!
Hey, by the way, Kerri Weller has a website up I noticed recently. Beautiful work. I must say hello through the contact page; haven't seen or corresponded for years. If I recall, I think you know her from working at the science centre. www.kerriweller.com.
Clive Thanks, These are 3 hr sess'ns w/ some adjustm'ts a day afterward when memories are still fresh. I try to start painting after two 20 minutes of contour drawing w/ most of shadow and and cast shadow shapes.
You'll get better w/ more outings.
I've not been in contact w/ Kerri since her move to Ottawa. We overlapped briefly at OSC, and she was also a neighbour in Swansea.
wow, wonderful talent
Many books, Thank you for the complim't.
Your watercolours are amazing..great skin tones and light. Love the choice of your *real* models.
